According to the police, the incident occurred at 3.20 am on Friday at Senapati Bapat Marg (west).
The two accused entered the ATM, pulled the shutter down and attacked the 55 year-old security guard, Premnath Baburao Pawar, with an iron rod. He has been admitted to Sion hospital.
The accused tried to break the ATM machine but did not succeed. The Dadar police have registered an FIR against the unknown robbers.
