Blame game
A police team from Ajni police station will soon be leaving for Pune to record the statement of Jamila. Fauzia, Karjatkar's wife, refused to comment on the alleged relationship between her late husband and Jameela.u00a0 "Jamila has ruined my family. I want justice," Fauzia said.
Meanwhile, Jamila registered a police complaint with Vishrambaug police on February 17 stating that Fauzia's relatives have been making threatening calls to her.
Senior inspector C D Jadhav from the police station said he was investigating the complaint.
When this reporter contacted Jamila over the phone, she refused to comment, and said that she was in a hospital.

A gold medallist in MSc (agriculture), Karjatkar joined the police force eight years ago and topped the Maharashtra Public Service Examinations. His first posting in the force was at Pune, and it was during his tenure in Pune city that he got acquainted with Jamila.
