Mutalik told this reporter, "The death of the world biggest terror leader has been much awaited. To commemorate this day as the victory over terror, we have decided to celebrate."

He added that the US is espousing double standard and should stop supplying money and arms to Pakistan in order to curtail terrorist activities.

"Osama being eliminated in Pakistan proves that the country is harbouring dreaded terrorists and has now been caught red handed.

Another fact that evidences this is that even Dawood Ibrahim has been given shelter there and should be handed over to India immediately," he demanded.

Pakistan should explain its stand before the world; he said adding that since this indicates its involvement in terrorist activities in the country.

Also, India should refrain from taking a soft stand and be aggressive in getting Ibrahim deported to stand trial for crimes committed.

City on alert
Additional Commissioner of Police (law and order) T Sunil Kumar said that a general alert has been sounded in the city post Osama's killing.

"As a precautionary measure, we have directed police personnel to set up pickets at sensitive areas and increased patrols to avoid any untoward incidents," he said.

He added that jurisdictional officers have been asked to monitor the security arrangements.

'We are yet to get justice'
K Unnikrishnan, father of NSG commando Major Sandeep who died during the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai said that Osama's death is an achievement for only Obama and the US.

He, as an Indian citizen, is yet to get justice and will only rest when the perpetrators of the terror attacks in
India are brought to book.

Osama's death might be a universal phenomenon, but for Indians, justice will only be served when terrorists like Moulana Masood and others who carry out terror attacks sitting in Pakistan are being punished.

"I specifically wanted the government concerned to punish Maulana Masood since he is one among the many who create terrorists to carry out attacks.

Be it the Kandahar incident, the Mumbai serial blast or the recent 26/11 attack, the perpetrators are being offered sanctuary by Pakistan," he said.

He added, "As a citizen of India and the father of Sandeep, I'll be happy only when such people and their host country, which is a specific threat to our nation, are punished accordingly."
