In another instance of inhumanity, a speeding car driver knocked down a man, and claimed his life on Monday, in Telangana. But, while that was apathetic in itself, what followed was worse. The drive did not stop the vehicle, and drove on with the victim's blood-stained body on the roof of the car, for over two kilometres.
The said incident occurred near Rajpur on Hyderabad highway in Mehbubnagar district. Due to the impact of the collision, the victim, who was crossing the road, died almost immediately.
Locals were appalled at the scene of the car with the blood-stained body on top. They managed to stop the car at Machram and found the body. The driver, however, was able to flee.
