Cops arrest man who broke into a house in south Delhi and was caught stealing dresses and gowns

His actions could have been labeled kinky, but for Deepak, stealing women's garments had more to do with the extra money he got by selling them.

According to the police, the accused broke into the house of one Phubut Sering from Tibet at 1.15 am at Kotla Mubarakpur in south Delhi. However, a noise alerted Sering and Deepak was caught red-handed stealing women's garments. The police said Deepak has alleged he was also beaten up by Sering and his neighbours.
Sering, who works in a Defence Colony restaurant, told MiD DAY the thief was about to flee with his wife's clothes and his child's blanket, when he caught him. Hearing the commotion, neighbours gathered and the assailant was beaten up before being handed over to the police.
"I was sleeping when I heard a thud. Outside my room I saw a person stealing something. I raised an alarm, hearing which he began to run away. But I caught him," said Sering.u00a0
The police said, the thief was identified as Deepak, and a women's dress, a gown, two ladies' shirts and a child's blanket were seized from him.
"During interrogation Deepak admitted to the crime and said he was caught earlier as well by the police and has been involved in several cases of theft. Deepak said as women's clothes fetch good prices in the market he used to target only them," said a police official, wishing anonymity.
