Nashik: Three members of a gang were arrested in connection with seven thefts in the city recently and a four-wheeler, two motorcycles, jewellery and other household articles recovered from them, police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Avinash Bargal told reporters in Nashik on Wednesday that the three thieves were allegedly involved in the seven incident of housebreaking that took place under the jurisdiction of Nashik Road and Upnagar Police Station in the last 20 days.


Police recovered a Santro car, two motorcycles, television sets, gold jewellery and other household articles worth Rs 6 lakh from them.



A country made pistol was also recovered from them, Bargal said, adding, the three have been identified as Rahul Sonawane (24), Mahesh Andhale (22) and Nilesh alias Balya Bhosale.

The trio were held last morning and were produced before a local court on the same day, which remanded them in police custody till tomorrow.

The fourth member of the gang, Kiran Patil, is still at large, the officer said.
