A tiger was found dead in the Valmiki National Park, Bihar's only tiger reserve, an official said on Friday, adding it could have been killed by poachers.

Bihar's chief wildlife warden BA Khan said the tiger was found in a ditch in the Madanpur range of the park on Thursday. The reserve is in Bagaha district, about 250 km from here.

According to the latest census, there are only 8-10 tigers in the park.
