Situation to improve as Islamic leaders approached to mediate between Shoaib and Ayesha

If all goes well, the controversial Sania-Shoaib wedding would be held on April 15. It is believed that leaders from the Muslim community have been approached to mediate, as all three parties involved are Muslim.

Sources close to the Siddiquis have approached Islamic leaders to strike a compromise between Shoaib and Ayesha. However, when further probed, the sources were not ready to divulge the names of the mediators.

"Since all three parties are Muslims, it would reflect badly on the community irrespective of who wins and loses.

However, the demand for the alimony was much higher. Shoaib has been advised by his family to conclude the issue.

"We are expecting an apology from Shoaib. Once Ayesha's demand is met, she'll not come in the way of his marriage with Sania," said Shiraj Khan of the United Women Front who met Ayesha at her residence yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Mirzas have reprimanded Chamundeswarinath, the former cricket captain of Andhra team who was mediating between the Mirzas and the Siddiquis, for having said to the media that the marriage would be postponed. Chamundeswarinath was not available for comments.

Where's Ayesha?

Sources close to Siddiquis have said that it's obesity that is stopping Ayesha from coming out in public. "She doesn't want to face the embarrassment of being overweight," Shiraj said. Ayesha, who is believed to be over 75 kg, will face the public when it is called for.
