Let there be light. And there was light. But then, God does not depend on electricians. Mortals have no choice. Vijay Goel learnt it the hard way.
"We made several calls to the electrician's office. However, they insisted that the electrician had been sent immediately and they did not know why he had not reached," said an officer from the DC office.
The electricity at the DC office went off at around 11 am as soon as the process of filing of nominations started. By the time the electrician arrived, the Delhi police had cordoned off the area, fearing a terror strike.

Returning officer and Deputy Commissioner D K Mishra, when contacted, admitted that the power supply to the office remained off for some time due to technical snag on Thursday morning. "But we did not face any major problem. There was enough sunlight in the room," he told MiD DAY.
