WR organises 36-hour ticket checking drive at Andheri, recovers Rs 9.58 lakhs

The Mumbai Division of Western Railway conducted an Intensive Fortress Ticket Checking Drive at Andheri station besides Intensive Sectional checks in trains between Borivali and Virar for 36 hrs on July 15-16

The Mumbai Division of Western Railway conducted an Intensive Fortress Ticket Checking Drive at Andheri station besides Intensive Sectional checks in trains between Borivali and Virar for 36 hrs on July 15-16.

The special drive was conducted with the help of 352 ticket checking staff and 56 RPF staff and resulted in detection of 4149 cases of ticketless travelling, resulting in recovery of approx Rs.9.58 lakh.


During the drive, all entry and exit points were manned extensively and efforts were made to check every passenger going out of the station. Western Railway appeals to its commuters to travel with proper ticket.
