A widow has been arrested for allegedly killing her father-in-law in self-defence after he attempted to rape her in Banipur village in Shamli district, police said today.

The 35-year-old widow resisted Vikram Singh's attempt to rape her last night when they were alone at home and attacked him with a sharp farm equipment, which led to his death.
The woman was today produced in court which sent her to 14 days judicial custody.u00a0
