The victim filed the rape complaint with the police a month after the incident, as the police said accused Ankush Parkhe had threatened her with dire consequences if she complained.
The police said Ankush has two brothers, who stay in Bibwewadi. They said he had an illicit relationship with his brother Vishal's wife while the complainant was the wife of the second brother.
The complainant worked for a women's self-help group and had gone to Vishal's home on May 20 when she saw Ankush and Vishal's wife in a compromising position.
Ankush then allegedly warned both women against going to the police.
