The youth of Delhi is ready; it's time you buckled up too. If you want soak the festive fervour revolving around the CWG, Central Park in Connaught Place is where one should be every evening.
Young people from the streets, schools and various colleges of Delhi will entertain you till the 13th of this month, as a part of 'Delhi Celebrates' -- a Ministry of Culture and Delhi Government's Department of Art, Culture & languages initiative.

Children under Deepalaya, Salaam Balaak Trust and other NGOs are performing a variety of cultural items replete with music and dance. Add to that, children from renowned schools like Ryan International, Hansraj Model and Springdales, who have been working hard to please the capital.
Young performers who have been associated with organisations run by danseuses like Sonal Man Singh and Kiran Sehgal will also be participating. The shows end every evening with rock bands from colleges under the Delhi University.

Hindu, Ramjas and Jesus and Mary are some of the prominent ones who'll send their rock bands. Kite flying during the day, giant puppet show in the afternoon and a laser and beam show during the performances is also promised.

The shows start 6.30 every evening and entry is free of cost. "We would recommend carrying along some form of identification though it's not mandatory," says Rina Ray, Principal Secretary, Art and Culture and Managing Director, Delhi Tourism.
