Dosa-style khakra and Paneer Dhokla sure beat the ghisa-pita burger. What's On dropped in at snack store Trupti and found itself spoiled for choice

What's the best thing to follow up a shopping spree with? If you're thinking of a delicious meal, we couldn't agree more. But we suggest that the next time you're shopping at Phoenix Mills and feel hunger pangs, give the

popular fast food joint a miss. Instead, head to the spanking new Trupti, the quintessential snack shop that promises to serve piping hot fare.

It's dhokla haven here, as they offer almost nine varieties of dhokla, like the Paneer Dhokla and the Methi Dhokla (Rs 220 per kg). You can also nibble on 4 to 5 types of samosas we especially loved innovative Chinese samosa. The Green Peas Ghooghra (Rs 8.50 per piece) and fresh Khandvi (Rs 160 a kilo) garnished with grated coconut and coriander leaves are a must-try.

Dry packaged snacks like chivda, bhujia, peanuts, chips, Jamnagri ganthia, Thepla, Dalmoth, Chakri, and 17 varieties of Khakhra including Dosa Khakhra (Rs 120 per box) which is a crispy-thin dosa-style khakra, stays fresh for five days. The shop also sells dry fruits and around 50 varieties of mithai, that includes Pista Gul (Rs 800 per kg), Chocolate Fudge (Rs 580 per kg) and Mango Burfi (Rs 400 per kg). Trupti also offers Bengali mithais Rasgolla, Rasmalai and specialities like Santra Saloniu00a0 and the usual fare of cakes, pastries, mousse and sandwiches.

Chaat Counter: If you are one who thrives on tangy street chaat, opt for the Pani Puri (Rs 30), Papdi Chaat, Raj Kachori or Dahi wada (all for Rs 45).

WHAT AN IDEA! You may call it gola, but at Trupti, it's called a Snow Kone. Along with old flavours like Kalakhatta and Kachchikairi, you can choose from mocktail flavours of Pinacolada and other summer coolers for a reasonable price of Rs 30.

We loved: The Chocolate Truffle (Rs 50) with a thick choco cream that left us craving for more, and the Chocolate Basket (Rs 30) with two layers of whipped choco cream. We also recommend the Paneer Dhokla (Rs 220 per kg) which is an interesting preparation with a slice of paneer wedged between two dhoklas.u00a0
