Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Friday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of echoing "Pakistan's narrative". He alleged that his remarks were often used by "anti-India" groups across the border.

The Union Minister asserted that the Congress MP pattern had been consistent in recent years, raising concerns over the impact of his statements on national discourse.

While addressing reporters in Delhi, the Union Minister said, "...Whatever narratives Pakistan creates, the same narrative is propounded by Rahul Gandhi and his company here in India. So we have realised in the last few years that whatever Rahul Gandhi and his left group speak about and try to create a narrative in India, the same thing is found to be used by the anti-Indian groups and the elements in Pakistan. So that similarity we have found over the years."

The remark came a day after the Congress MP criticised the Election Commission of India (ECI), alleging that it was colluding to "destroy the electoral process" and weaken Indian democracy. Her statement followed fresh allegations by Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who alleged that a systematic effort is ongoing to delete voters who vote for Opposition parties.

A day earlier, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi once again raised concerns over alleged "vote theft" and slammed the Election Commission of India for not cooperating with the investigation. He accused the EC of ignoring serious issues related to voter fraud.

"I am going to show the youth, the people, proof that is black and white, absolutely clear that the Chief Election Commissioner of India is protecting people who have destroyed Indian democracy. I will also show you the methods by which votes are added, deleted and show you how it is done," Rahul Gandhi said during a press conference at the Congress headquarters, Indira Bhawan.

However, the Election Commission firmly rejected all allegations, clarifying that no voter's name can be deleted online by any member of the public.
