Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said artificial intelligence (AI) will bring a revolution in agriculture and improve farmers’ conditions. He highlighted how ethanol production has boosted maize farmers’ income, defended ethanol blending, and stressed the need for research on soybean crops. Gadkari also hailed GST reforms as transformative.

Union minister Nitin Gadkari, while putting light on artificial intelligence and its use in agricultural activities, said that he believes that AI will usher in a revolution in the agriculture sector and help improve the conditions of farmers.
Gadkari said that, “Do visit Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Baramati and see the innovative methods being adopted there. AI will definitely help farmers. I believe AI will revolutionise the agriculture sector,” as cited by news agency PTI.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, speaking about ethanol production, also said that 350-400 factories produce ethanol in the country and farmers have benefited substantially from it.
“With ethanol produced from maize, farmers earned Rs 45,000 crore. Earlier, the maize rate was Rs 1,200 per quintal, which has now increased to Rs 2,800 per quintal. The agricultural area under maize has tripled. Those who wish to oppose it, I won't bother. My path is clean,” Nitin Gadkari asserted.
Clarifying the buzz that has been going around the social media platforms, the Union Road Transport Minister highlighted that the social media rage over the blending of 20 per cent ethanol in petrol fuel was a ‘paid campaign’ to target him politically.
On soybean, Nitin Gadkari said that, “The farmers are finding it difficult to grow the crop. 'Attack' is there, rates are not good, and production is also less; therefore, a lot of study is needed on this to make sure that farmers are able to grow their crops in a very cost-effective manner. Although there are some technical hurdles, that will be discussed,” as cited by news agency PTI.
Automobiles and ancillaries get a big push through GST reforms
While also putting light on GST reforms and how they will impact the national highways and the automobile sector, Nitin Gadkari, through a social media post, said that “the new GST reforms mark a transformative step, bringing relief to farmers, MSMEs, small traders, women, youth, and the middle class, while ensuring ease of doing business across India. This is more than just a policy change; it's a step towards empowering citizens and strengthening our economy."
Addressing that the recent GST reforms will bring in benefits across the ecosystem, India is shaping towards a better and a faster-growing economy.
