Naik Harindra Kumar Yadav sustained grievous injuries on Tuesday after Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate and unprovoked firing.
There was firing by Pakistani troops along the LoC in Nowshera sector since 8:45 am on November 8, a senior Army officer said. Indian troops guarding the borderline retaliated, resulting in exchanges. "There has been no casualty or injury to any one in the firing by Pakistan," he said.
There had been over 100 ceasefire violations on Indian posts and civilian areas along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir after the surgical strike.
