India on Friday once again condemned Pakistan for its ongoing support of terrorist groups, stating that the global community is fully aware of the deep-rooted nexus between the Pakistani state, its military, and terror outfits operating from its soil, the IANS reported.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, addressing a weekly media briefing, said, "On the issue of terrorism, we have been unequivocal. The world recognises the nexus between terrorists and the Pakistani state and military. Recent statements only make this reality more apparent."

Jaiswal's comments were in response to a viral video showing Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri admitting substantial losses following the Indian Armed Forces’ Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

In the video, Kashmiri, surrounded by armed militants, revealed that Masood Azhar’s family, including women and children, were “torn to shreds” in Bahawalpur which is considered a JeM stronghold -- during the Indian air strikes, according to the IANS.

The Indian retaliatory operation followed the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians and security personnel. India subsequently hit multiple terror sites linked to JeM and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), including known locations in Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Kotli.

Pakistan itself had later confirmed that nine sites had been struck, including Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muridke.

Bahawalpur is Pakistan's 12th largest city and a major hub of JeM operations.

Kashmiri, addressing a crowd in the video, admitted, "This so-called nonsense of terrorism, which we embrace for ideological and geographical boundaries of this country (Pakistan)... sometimes we clashed with Delhi, Kabul, and Kandahar," as per the IANS.

He confirmed that on May 7, the family of Maulana Masood Azhar, founder of JeM, was killed in Bahawalpur, one of the terror outfit’s main operational hubs.

The MEA reiterated India’s firm stance on combating terrorism in all its forms.

"Every multilateral forum -- whether BRICS, SCO, or others -- has echoed support for combating global terrorism, including cross-border terrorism. We urge the international community to intensify efforts to eliminate terrorism in all its manifestations," said Jaiswal, the news agency reported.
