Journalists and members of civil society spilled on the streets of Bengaluru city of Karnataka in protest of the murder of noted scholar and former Vice Chancellor of Kannada University, MM Kalburgi. Kalburgi (77), was shot dead by two unidentified men at his residence in Dharwad district of Karnataka.
