Fishermen in Tamil Nadu on Friday began 45-day fishing ban in order to enable fish breeding. The fishing season ended on a sore note as the Sri Lankan naval authorities detained hundreds of fishermen on terms of illegal fishing and entering territorial waters of the island nation.
