The 25th chairman of SBI on Thursday announced to give a complete makeover to the country’s largest lender in terms of adoption of new technology and digitisation. Throwing some light Chairman Rajnish Kumar said that in the next three years people will see a bank which has completely transformed itself in every way possible. Kumar said that infrastructure and consumer spending is where the bank has huge opportunities and it is well positioned to capitalise on them. On being about the SBI’s profitability which is under strain because of ballooning bad loans and sluggish credit growth, Kumar informed that ‘plans are already in discussion to revive the growth.’
