Inmates of District Jail Jammu have made decorative candles under the brand name ‘Roshni’. Coloured, gel and scented candles are among the candle types that inmates have made. Prisoners have undergone training to make these candles and the required infrastructure has also been provided to them. The inmates are also extremely happy that they are doing something productive. Diwali candle is an integral part of Diwali celebrations as it signifies the victory of good over evil. Decorating the house with candles and diyas is a norm followed on Diwali. This year, Diwali 2023 will be begin from November 10 and will end on November 15th.
