IAF MiG-21 aircraft crashes in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh, claims 2 lives

An IAF MiG-21 crashed in Rajasthan`s Hanumangarh district during a routine training sortie on May 08. Three civilian people have been killed in the mishap while several others have been injured in the mishap. However, the pilot of the aircraft is safe and managed to eject from the fighter jet in time. The locals recounted the ‘blast-like’ moment when the aircraft crashed into a house. The Defence Experts have termed the incident ‘unfortunate’ and suspected material failure as the reason behind the mishap. However, an inquiry has been initiated into the matter to ascertain the cause of the accident.
