Mexico had agreed to send 10,000 members of its national guard “to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the US. Hundreds of Mexican soldiers were mobilized on Tuesday to the border with the United States as part of an agreement. Troops will be posted to hot spots along the border with high rates of illegal migration, drug & weapons trafficking. US President Donald Trump paused his threat of 25 per cent tariffs on Mexican imports for 30 days. Under the agreement, the US has also promised to work to stop the flow of high-powered weapons into Mexico.
