West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on December 30 condoled the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben. She urged PM Modi to take some rest. She said, “today it’s a sad day and a great loss to you. I pray to God, may God give you strength. I convey my gratitude to you that you were supposed to come to West Bengal but due to the demise of your mother, you couldn`t come but joined virtually. Soon after performing the last rites of his mother in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the Vande Bharat Express train in West Bengal. Modi was scheduled to visit West Bengal on December 30 to inaugurate a host of development projects but due to the sudden demise of his mother, he attended the events virtually.
