A shoe-stopping moment

'What's the difference between Baba Ramdev and Arvind Kejriwal? One gives the slip, the other gets the slipper.' That tweet, courtesy a certain Madhavan Narayanan, came in the aftermath of another slipper-throwing incident involving Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal. It also prompted Tushar A.

Gandhi to comment: 'The way things are going, Anna Hazare will soon become a member of Team Kejriwal.' Sanjay Jha suggested Team Anna initiate 'a boot camp (pun intended). Too much stridency, vehemence.' According to Isha Ganeriwal: 'Throwing chappals started as sign of non-acceptance of corruption. Today, it was a sign of non-acceptance of anti-corruption.' And, finally, a question from Khalid Musanna: 'Hasn't Kejriwal passed the first test of politics with a chappal episode?'

Bennett Marano1 was one of many upset Gmail users after the e-mail service reportedly failed to function for a while. 'Is anyone else having Facebook or Gmail problems?' he asked. 'It's as if my computer found my two most accessed sites and shut them down.' A certain Kinj added: 'First Research In Motion, now Gmail? Is the world coming to an end?' And an interesting note from Apar Gupta: 'The world is not going to end with a bang or a whimper. It's going to end with a server farm crashing down.'

His name is Khan
The actor Shah Rukh Khan clogged timelines, possibly because the release date of his film Ra.One is fast approaching. Not everyone appeared to be excited though. Indira Rangarajan tweeted: 'SRK is jumping out of every ad, every serial, every award function. Am half expecting him to jump out of my salad and say this is a raw-one!'
