Past 11 am on yesterday when Jecy Mellona, the man who climbed the tower of Marcelo Fernan Bridge on Wednesday afternoon, decided to come down.

Mellona slowly came down the bridge tower through the suspension bars.

The wait is over: Police officials bring Jecy Mellona off the bridge and cuff him immediately

Mellona carried with him his bolo knife and the sign board of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) hanging on his back like a cape.

He slid through the tower bars.

However, the heat of the friction while sliding down the bars caused wounds on his legs. Police in civilian clothes were quick to take him down and steal the bolo knife from him.

Mellona was handcuffed by policemen and immediately brought to the Lapu-Lapu Police Station.
