The Malian woman had just stepped off the bus and was rushing to the nearby hospital when time ran out.
A police officer sent his partner inside the hospital to alert nurses while he wrapped the newborn infant in his jacket.
A hospital team arrived at the scene to cut the cord and bring mother and baby indoors.
