A pastor has been booked for molesting 30 children and teenagers in this city of the Dominican Republic.
Parents of the affected children Thursday lodged complaints against Daniel Vasquez, the pastor of the Jesus, Source of Salvation Church in Cienfuegos neighbourhood.
Regional police commander, Gen. Juan de la Cruz Martinez, said his force and prosecutors were searching for Vasquez to arrest him.
The Rev. Pablo Urena, director of the Ninos por una Esperanza Programme in Cienfuegos, asked the authorities to intensify the investigation and also called on Vasquez to surrender.
The parents alleged in their complaint that Vasquez bought presents for young boys and then invited them to his house, where he sexually abused them.
