If the US fails to crack down on immigration, according to the Donald Trump camp, the country’s streets will be swamped with criminals, illicit drugs, job-stealers — and tacos. The popular Mexican dish is the latest threat facing Americans if the GOP presidential candidate loses, the co-founder of Latinos for Trump told a news channel.

“My culture is a very dominant culture. It is imposing and it’s causing problems,” Marco Gutierrez said. “If you don’t do something about it, you’re going to have taco trucks [on] every corner.”

The earnest warning unleashed a flurry of social media activity — a trending hashtag (#TacoTrucksOnEveryCorner) and snarky memes — with many relishing the idea of a country where taco trucks rule the streets.
