A British girl auctioned herself at eBay so that she could be escorted to her brother's wedding

Aimee Robinson from Greenwich, South East London received 18 bids on the online auction and shopping website, with the winning bid being 535 pounds.

Now, 25-year-old Robinson, who has got herself a date at her sibling's marriage, plans to get her mom check him out beforehand.

"We have no pictures and very little information, so the end result could be interesting," the Sun quoted Robinson as saying.

"But if someone's brave enough ufffd and I'm brave enough to put myself out there ufffd then maybe we've something in common," she added.

Being a PR consultant, Robinson advertised for a man aged 24-45 with his "own hair and teeth".

The money will be donated to charity Diabetes UK.
