Gaza: Islamic Hamas movement has called on all the Palestinian political factions to convene in Gaza to evaluate the consequences of early Friday blasts that targeted Fatah Party's leaders.

Musa Abu Marzooq, a top Hamas leader, told a news conference in Gaza that Hamas called on all factions to gather for a high-level meeting to study the consequences of the blasts that targeted Fatah leaders' cars and houses, Xinhua reported.

He also said the meeting will also study the situation in the Gaza Strip, the recent developments of the explosions, as well as the reconstruction process.

Early Friday, unknown militants set off bombs in the cars and at the doors of local Fatah officials in Gaza. No injuries were reported, and no one claimed responsibility. However, severe damages were done.

Leaders of the Fatah party accused Hamas for being responsible for the bombings, but Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya denied any involvement of his movement.

The explosions were carried out just a few days before Fatah Party would mark in a huge popular rally the 10th anniversary of late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. The stage and the podium of the rally were also destroyed in the blast.
