One-day-old baby has heart operation

A day-old baby has become one of the youngest children in Britain to have open-heart surgery. Rudy Maxwell-Jones went under the knife so surgeons could unblock an aortic valve.



"His life was hanging in the balance," Janette Shiel, his mother said. "It's a real miracle he's still here. There were 20 intensive care staff working to stabilise him but he pulled through."
