A shopping addict was crushed to death after a mountain of unopened items collapsed on top of her, police revealed yesterday.

Officers searched pensioner Joan Cunnane's bungalow after worried friends said they had not seen her since Boxing Day.
It took them two days to sift through her hoard of electrical items, clothes, umbrellas, candles and ornaments before they stumbled across her body on Wednesday.
It was buried beneath a 3ft mound of suitcases all packed with items the 77-year-old had bought but never opened.
Friend Roy Moran yesterday told how devout Catholic Joan an only child who never married - had been a shopaholic for about 16 years.
He added: "She bought everything, especially clothes. I once asked her how many scarves she had and she said she thought about 300.
"I asked her why she needed that many.
She said they were all different colours. She went to John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and shopping malls because they are open late so she didn't have to go home."
