A miniature bull terrier called Armani has become a cult dog in Germany because he can say the word 'Mama'.
Past research at the University of Sussex has looked at what a dog means when it barks.
Analysts used modern technology to find out whether dogs communicate in different ways in an attempt to help owners better understand their pets.
They found dog growls are made up of components called formants, which form the basis of vowel sounds in human speech.
