At least 30 Palestinians, including a senior rescue service official and a journalist, were killed in a massive Israeli strike on the Gaza Strip on Monday. Dozens more were injured, many of them women and children, following an attack on a school in Gaza City’s Daraj neighbourhood. The Israeli military has not issued an immediate statement regarding the attack which comes amid mounting international pressure over Israel`s blockade of humanitarian aid, raising fears of an imminent famine. Despite the global outcry, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated last week that Israel intends to maintain full control over Gaza.
