    Cockroach in Dahi Vada: What was supposed to be a light Sunday dinner turned out to be a buggy affair for Maharukh Irani, 76, and her family. They had ordered food from the popular eatery Kailash Parbat in Colaba in May 2019. Halfway through the meal, Irani was horrified after spotting a cockroach inside the dahi vada she had taken a bite of. When the family brought the matter to the restaurant's notice, they apologised and refunded the money.

    Hospital serves worm in a salad to dengue patient: Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri allegedly served a salad with worms to a patient, it was reported in September 2016. Anoll Merchant, a Juhu resident said he admitted his parents at the hospital for dengue treatment from September 3-11. During the stay, one of his parents was allegedly served a salad with worms. Merchant immediately raised the issue with the administrative head of the facility who told him not to complain, saying he would lose his job. The executive director of the hospital said that they would investigate but not sack the vendor

    Live rat found in bread basket: In June 2017, an HR professional and her brother were at the popular restaurant in Pali Hill and were served a complimentary bread basket. The bread was served in a sac-like container. Suddenly they noticed that something was moving inside the bag. They poked the bag after noticing movement. The siblings freaked out and called the waiter who came over and took the bag. Within a few minutes of this incident occurring, the restaurant manager came up to the HR professional and apologised, admitting to the fact that there was, in fact, a rat inside the bag.
