Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the BJP-NDA alliance to a stunning and historic victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, with the ruling party itself marking an improvement over its 2014 showing that left the opposition dazed and demoralised. Post its thumping victory, on May 25, 2019, PM Narendra Modi was unanimously elected the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party and the NDA Parliament Party to head the new government once again.

PM Narendra Modi was elected at a combined meeting of the newly elected MPs of BJP and the NDA coalition at the Central Hall of Parliament by 353 MPs by raising their hands amidst shouts of 'Modi, Modi, Modi' and clapping of hands.

Actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan too attended the NDA Parliamentary party meeting. The Bhojpuri star won by over two lakh votes against the SP-BSP alliance candidate Ram Bhuwal Nishad from the Gorakhpur constituency in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election.
Dreamgirl of Bollywood Industry and actor-turned-politician Hema Malini won the Mathura Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 2,93,471 votes. She too attended the NDA Parliamentary party meeting and was seen waving the victory sign outside the parliament.

Singer-turned-politician Hans Raj Hans, who was fielded by the BJP party in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, won the North West Delhi constituency by over 6 lakh votes.

Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir who joined the BJP in March 2019 ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, won the East Delhi constituency by a massive margin. He was leading with 6,96,156 votes. Gambhir, who scored a century on his political debut too attended the NDA Parliamentary party meeting.

Actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol, who joined BJP ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections won the Gurdaspur constituency by a margin of 82,459 votes and defeated Congress heavyweight and sitting MP Sunil Jakhar.
