Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 25 dived into the Arabian Sea off the coast of Gujarat to perform an underwater puja in the remains of the ancient submerged city of Lord Krishna’s Dwarka. In the photos shared by the PM on his ‘X’ handle, he can be seen in scuba gear and descending into the azure waters to offer prayers at the site steeped in historical and spiritual significance. Earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi in Dwarka offered prayers at Beyt Dwarka Temple. After offering prayers at the temple, Prime Minister inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu in Dwarka. It is the longest cable-stayed bridge of the country that has been constructed at the cost of ₹ 979 crore.
Six members of an independent fact-finding committee, on their way to Sandeshkhali, were arrested at Bhojerhat in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district on February 25. Following the arrest, the committee members were brought to PHQ Lal Bazaar Kolkata. The Fact-Finding Committee members were stopped by police at Bhojerhat, South 24 Parganas, while they were proceeding to the trouble-torn Sandeshkhali area in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas to investigate alleged incidents of atrocities and Sandeshkhali violence on women there. Saikat Ghosh, Deputy Commissioner, Bhangar Division, Kolkata Police, said while speaking to the media, “We were requesting them to not cross from here, but they were trying to break the police barricade unlawfully. So, we had to arrest them under Preventive Sections. If there is information of a ‘breach of peace’, police can arrest them under preventive sections.” Narasimha Reddy, Former Chief Justice of Patna High Court, said, “We sat here but it seems they've a problem with this also. Now, we will seek the appointment of the governor and explain the situation to him. Later we'll talk about this to the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi...”
Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on February 25 talked about the cancellation of UP Police constable exam. The Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, also called the Sudarshan Setu spanning 2.5 kilometres, holds immense significance for both residents and pilgrims visiting the revered Dwarkadhish Temple. Initiated by the Centre in 2017 with a groundbreaking ceremony, the bridge aims to simplify access for devotees commuting between Okha and Bet Dwarka. Before its construction, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach the Dwarkadhish Temple in Beyt, Dwarka. The 2.5 km bridge has been built for Rs 978 crore which is set to give a major infrastructure boost in the region.

Congress MLA S Vijayadharani, who represents Vilavancode in Tamil Nadu, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on February 24. “Lot of great things are happening under honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi for our country,” said Vijayadharani after joining the BJP. She also credited BJP Tamil Nadu K Annamalai for his efforts in the state.
The candidates of the UP Police constable exam danced in joy as the exam was cancelled by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Hundreds of candidates danced, celebrated in Lucknow. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party held a joint press conference in New Delhi on February 24. Both parties announced their seat-sharing plan for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. They shared the seat-sharing plan for Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Chandigarh and Haryana. However, the two parties failed to conclude Punjab. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Sandeep Pathak informed that both the parties decided to contest elections separately for Punjab.
