On July 19, villagers thrashed the woman assuming that she was a child-lifter. When the woman ran into the forest to save her life, some villagers followed her there and beat her to death. The unidentified woman was aged between 25-30 years. Her body was found in a drain near the forest area on July 20. Investigating officers revealed that the woman died of a head injury.
