MP Bus Accident: Bus Carrying EVMs & Polling Personnel Catches Fire

A bus, carrying polling personnel, from Goula Village in the Multai assembly constituency of Betul Lok Sabha Elections, burst into flames while returning from Goula Village in the Multai assembly constituency of Betul Lok Sabha constituency last night. The polling personnel jumped off the bus and were safe. However, four EVMs suffered damage to their parts. This tragic incident took place on 7th May at around 11 pm. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and secure the remaining EVMs. It is believed that a spark in the bus caused the fire.

The Deshmukh family cast their votes at a polling booth in Latur, Maharashtra. After voting, the actors spoke outside the booth, encouraging citizens to practice their right to vote. Genelia shared, "This is an important day. Voting is crucial. Every citizen must go out and vote. I think this is very important." Riteish stated, “I came to Latur from Mumbai to cast my vote. Everyone should step out of their homes and cast their votes. Today is an important day. Everyone should definitely vote.”

PM Modi Holds Mega Roadshow in Ayodhya, Seeks Blessings Of Ram Lalla

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 05 visited Ayodhya in UP. He offered prayers at Ram Lalla and Ram Mandir. Later after offering prayers at Ram Mandir, PM Modi and CM Yogi held a massive roadshow in Ayodhya amid chants of ‘Ram-Ram’. Modi fans in large numbers gathered to take a look at their idol PM. The two kilometre long roadshow in the city started from Sugriva Fort and continued till Lata Chowk. This was Prime Minster's first visit after the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in January 2024. Uttar Pradesh government tightened the security in Ayodhya ahead of PM Modi's visit to the Ram Temple. People in Ayodhya will vote on May 20 in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Shaksgam Valley: India lodges protest over Chinese activities in Shaksgam Valley

India on May 02 lodged a strong protest against the reports of Chinese activities in Shaksgam Valley situated in POK. Shooting down media reports of ‘construction activities by China in Shaksgam Valley’ MEA said that It is a part of India. MEA further said that New Delhi never accepted the China-Pakistan boundary agreement of 1963. The issue of Shaksgam Valley comes amid the India-China border dispute along the Line of Actual Control. Indian and Chinese soldiers came at a loggerhead at friction points in eastern Ladakh in 2020 at LAC. The Shaksgam Valley, or the Trans Karakoram Tract is a strategically key region is part of the Hunza-Gilgit Region of PoK. It is bordered by the Xinjiang Province of China to the north, the northern areas of PoK to its west, south & Siachen Glacier region to the east. The Shaksgam Valley was ceded to China by Pakistan in 1963 when both countries signed a boundary pact to settle their differences.

Coastal Road In Mumbai Gets Connected To Bandra Worli Sea Link

BMC's Mumbai Coastal Road Project Arch String Girder (Bridge) was successfully installed on April 26. After a lot of anticipation finally, Mumbai Coastal Road Project and Bandra-Worli Sea Link got connected successfully. Earlier, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) allocated Rs 3200 crore for its ambitious Mumbai Coastal Road project in its 2022-23 budget. As per BMC data, the coastal road project got the highest share of budget allocation by BMC for the year 2022-23 at 17 per cent. This will benefit commuters, especially during peak hours in the morning and the evening when there's heavy traffic.  Speaking to ANI, General Manager Planning of Hindustan Construction Company, Pawan Padiyar said, “The Bandra-Worli Sea Link was also constructed by Hindustan Construction Company, one of the iconic project in Mumbai. We are glad this time also we have constructed this iconic bridge for costal road. It is also adjacent to Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It is changing the aesthetics of Mumbai.” He further informed about the materials that were used in constructing this massive bridge.
