Indo-Bahaman pair beat Poland's Lukasz Kubot and Austria's Oliver Marach 6-3, 6-1
India's Mahesh Bhupathi and his Bahaman doubles partner Mark Knowles cruised into the Australian Open men's doubles final this morning with a breezy straight sets victory at the Rod Laver Arena.
Third seeds Bhupathi-Knowles beat Poland's Lukasz Kubot and Austria's Oliver Marach 6-3, 6-1.
After racing away to a 3-0 lead in the opening set, Bhupathi and Knowles faced some resistance from their European opponents but held on even as Kubot-Marach failed to break their experienced opponents. The Polish-Austrian duo went down 3-6 in Set One.
Thereafter, Bhupathi-Knowles ran away with the second set u2014 breaking their opponents as many as three times more to enter the final.
The Indo-Bahaman pairing set up a final with either second seed USA's Bryan Brothers or India's Leander Paes and Czech Republic's Lukas Dlouhy, who are seeded fourth.
