Buoyed by their easy win over Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings star pacer Doug Bollinger said his team was ready to take on Mumbai Indians on their home turf in Sunday's big final.
He said the victory against Chargers while defending a small total of 142 was all about attitude and aggressive bowling, backed by brilliant fielding. Asked about the reason for a low-scoring game which had a highest score of 37, Bollinger said: "It was a good wicket. There was a bit of a bounce in it. The batsmen played some bad shots."
Talking about the secret of the Super Kings' success, Bollinger said: "It's about enjoying the game and your mates' successes. And we have this quality in abundance."
Bollinger has been in sensational form for the Super Kings, picking his second four-wicket haul in the current IPL season. He said he was enjoying bowling in partnership with spinner R Ashwin. And their partnership worked yet again for Super Kings yesterday. The two choked Chargers in the Powerplay overs, keeping their run-rate down to 3.83 at the end of six overs while striking twice for 23 runs.
"My opening bowling partnership with R Ashwin has been a critical factor in our success. With my pace and his spin we compliment each other well," said Bollinger.
On his success on Indian wickets, Bollinger said the key was adaptability. "You have to be able to adapt quickly to the conditions, success will be automatically follow," he added.
