Shoaib Akhtar's continuous denial about his reported marriage with a 20-year-girl Rubab Khan has surprised the Court Registrar Mohd Qasim Qayyan in Haripur, near Islamabad.

“I am surprised with the pace bowler’s bouncer (denial). The nikah was read by Moulavi Shabbir Khan in the presence of close relatives of Shoaib Akhtar and Rubab Khan,” Qayyan said.
“It is understandable when Shoaib had initially denied the news that the girl was a minor, but there is no reason for his denial now as the girl is 20. Shoaib’s mother chose her and the cricketer is happy,” the registrar added.
