Bhajji pleads guilty to hurling abuses at Chargers' batsman Tirumalsetti Suman
Mumbai Indians' Harbhajan Singh has been fined $15,000 for "swearing" in Sunday's Indian Premier League match against Deccan Chargers.
The incident took place in the 11th over of the Deccan Chargers innings when Harbhajan took a catch off his own bowling to dismiss Chargers' batsman Tirumalsetti Suman.
"Harbhajan Singh has been fined for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. Harbhajan pleaded guilty to the offence relating to excessively audible or repetitious swearing," IPL said in a statement on Monday.
Match referee G. Viswanath imposed a penalty of $15,000 (Rs 6.7 lakh) for the level 1 offence.
"For level 1 breaches of the IPL code of conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding."
