Indore: Opener Hashim Amla's unbeaten 58 and his 72-run unbroken third wicket partnership with skipper Glenn Maxwell (43*) helped Kings XIâu00c2u0080u00c2u0088Punjab (KXIP)âu00c2u0080u00c2u0088record their second consecutive win when they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)âu00c2u0080u00c2u0088by eight wickets here yesterday.

Set to score 149 for a win, Amla and his opening partner Manan Vohra (34) put on 62 runs for the first wicket to put the Kings' chase on track. It was an easy outing for the Kings' men as they raced home with 33 balls to spare.

Earlier, AB de Villiers smashed an unbeaten half-century as RCB recovered from a disappointing start to post a challenging 148-4.

Playing his first match of the season after regaining his fitness, de Villiers slammed a 46-ball 89-run unconquered innings laced with nine sixes and three fours to take RCB close to the 150-mark. With de Villiers going hammer and tongs, RCB amassed 68 runs in the last four overs after they were 22-3 in the fifth over.
