D’Souza — who was injured in Bosco’s opening MSSA game against St Lawrence, Kandivli on Monday — ignored the chest pain and played a crucial role in his team’s victory.
“We just wanted to win at any cost. It was an important final and I couldn’t stop myself from playing. The title mattered more to me than the pain. I am glad that my goal helped the team win. The pain is still there, but I am happy that it isn’t a serious injury,” Marc told MiD DAY.
“It feels nice to be the DSO champions. But there is still a long way to go this season. Now we need to play the other DSO and MSSA tournaments and I want to win as many titles for my school as possible,” added the 13-year-old who studies in Standard X.u00a0
