Mohali: Ben Stokes has received an official International Cricket Council reprimand for his “inappropriate comments” as he left the field after being dismissed on Day One here.
The all-rounder appeared to stop briefly as he walked off, after being stumped off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja, to engage with some of the India fielders — including captain Virat Kohli.
Non-striker Jonny Bairstow and India seamer Umesh Yadav, who spoke at the press conferences, insisted they did not hear what was said by either party.
