Mumbai was missing in the list of venues released for this year's Champions League Twenty20 (CL T20) to be held in India between September 23 and October 9.
The top three Indian Premier League (IPL) teams ufffd Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians ufffd were originally to be allotted home venues.
It is learnt from sources within the Indian board that Mumbai wasn't allotted any games citing the monsoon that is likely to continue into September.
Hyderabad will host the qualifying tournament (September 19-21), while Kolkata will join Chennai, and Bangalore, as the third host venue of the main event.
Three teams from the qualifying stage will join the seven that have already qualified and play out the format used in 2010. The opening game will be held in Bangalore while Chennai will stage a semi-final and the final.
