mid-day has learnt that the former secretary has asked the MCA to lift the five-year ban on him which runs till June 2, 2018. In return, Shetty has agreed to withdraw the suit filed against the MCA, challenging his ban.
Shetty was banned for allegedly accusing some MCA office-bearers of black-marketing tickets of the 2012 T20 International between India and Pakistan in Ahmedabad. Shetty vehemently denied the charges.
